I have bought a lot of scented candles in my life. I smell something good, and think I’ll burn it, and maybe I do, but only once or twice. At one point, I had a cabinet full of candles. I know better now, so I don’t keep any candles at home.
Except for one kind – I always keep a pine-scented candle for burning at Christmas time. I like the ones that are kind of earthy-smelling, rather than sweet-smelling. I like the smell of them on cold nights.

That is a good idea – having it near the tree so it smells pine-y. My house has had a severe ‘old house’ smell, and I’ve been lighting some candles. Maybe a pine tree scent… (I just want to copy everything you do. 🙂 )
Balsam & Fir is cozy. I always diffuse that in December. Good choice, sir.
I used to indulge in candle purchasing, then learned how rarely I lit them and now have a drawer full. Yet, we also have started doing this in the evening while watching TV (often Christmas movies)-it does change the atmosphere.
