I have often said that my new interests in plants precede popular trends. I’ve said that my new interests may even predict the popular trends. I think I might have the cause and effect backward. I may be noticing the trends as they’re beginning and thinking I thought of them first.
Whatever the case, the current trend that I was interested in already a long time ago is miniature orchids. I have a whole windowsill full of them in my bathroom.
And now I’m seeing them everywhere. Here’s a display at Home Depot:
