The landscaping of houses here in LA is so interesting. This climate supports a lot of different kinds of plant life. People have fruit trees, flowers, and palms. Or they have all kinds of succulents and water-wise trees. Within neighborhoods, there is often no pattern – each house is it’s own masterpiece. I love the variety.
Yesterday on my way home, construction made me stop on a part of the route that I usually pass by quickly. I looked out my window and saw something unusual:

It was a house with absolutely nothing in the yard. It was amazing!
Wow. Stark. Is that area in the front for….. parking? Tennis? I’m actually all for that: zero maintenance.
