The period of extremely hot weather we’ve had made my roses grow quickly this spring. Usually, the flower buds grow and swell over a long time, and the initial flowers are big and long-lasting. But this hot weather has made them open more quickly. They’re small. The heat has also made them fade quickly.
In spite of their smallness and brevity, it’s still been wonderful to see them every time I leave or come home. Tis but the beginning of a season of blooms.

Gorgeous! That’s a pretty sight to come home and see. 😀
My yard is full of spring flowers right now, including masses of the daffodils you gave me one year!
