A couple of other churches joined with mine in the recent past. One of them has a beautiful church on its property in a part of town called Cypress. Since we’re combined now, it has become the “Cypress campus” of my church.
It was closed for a while for some repairs and renovations. Yesterday morning was the first Sunday service since the repairs were completed.
The chancel cross and window are beautiful:

The choir and handbells participated in the Palm Sunday service. There was also brass and tympani. It was beautiful.
Wow! That stained glass window is stunning! I’m so curious – do the campuses share a pastor along with musicians?
My sister and brother-in-law’s church does this same thing. Instead of a church nearby closing, they become part of their church and are another campus. Joel is a pastor of one of those campuses. I like this idea. I think it’s a better use of resources.
