There’s a tamale place near my house that I’ve been wanting to eat at for a while. Last night I finally got carryout from there.
They were out of regular tamales, but they had a sort of open-faced tamale available. It was like an empty tamale that they split open and put some meat inside, then cover it with sauce and cheese and an avocado.
Mmm… It was so good. And so much food. I was stuffed.

I’ve never had a tamale, deconstructed or otherwise, but that looks delicious!
