Weird Warning

I’ve had a cough for a few days. It’s deep and rattle-y and has felt like maybe an infection? I went to the Kaiser urgent care yesterday after school just to be sure it wasn’t something bad. I will soon be traveling to Washington DC and having busy days and short nights.

When I was in the exam room, I saw this poster:

I thought it was going to be a poster saying “don’t use your phone so much because it’s bad for your brain”. Instead, it was: “don’t be actively talking on the phone while the medical staff is trying to work with you”. People do that? That’s so weird. And rude. And it’s crazy that they had to actually print a poster saying that.

My total time at the doctor’s office was three hours. I was so tired when I was done. The doctor thinks I’m recovering, and that I’ll be fine, but she took an xray, and will reevaluate when the radiologist makes their report.

I’m so glad you went to get it checked out. Three hours?? When can you hope to get your re-evaluation?

I am not surprised about that poster at all. People can be stupid. There, I said it. (The old cell phone does provide some levity, though.)
