I like having salt with my boiled eggs. I usually eat in the living room, where I keep my salt shaker, but sometimes I quickly eat a boiled egg in the kitchen before going into the garage for exercise.
All I have in the kitchen is a salt grinder, so I grind a little salt on the counter top and dip the egg in it.

It’s a convenient spot, because it’s right above the dishwasher. When I’m done eating, I open the dishwasher door and sweep the salt inside.
I applaud this for many reasons: it doesn’t waste a dish; clean-up is easy; it helps you maintain your exercise routine; it makes a good post. (Turns out I don’t know the rule for using semicolons.)
Annette was the one who taught me about just sweeping crumbs and such into the dishwasher. That was back in the ’90s. Thanks for the memory!
