Happy Birthday to Tim! Yay!
I went to Lincoln with Lloyd yesterday morning. We got some new risers for Brent and Sandra’s front yard for during the Fourth of July parade. We went in and got back early, to take advantage of the cool of the day.
After we got back Beth asked if I could help with a ceiling fan installation. Lloyd said I could borrow his truck to go over there. It’s a manual transmission. I drive this about once every summer. It keeps my gear-shifting skills sharp.

At Beth’s house, I helped with a fan in Tim’s room, and then a fan in the office. I only took an “after” picture in the office. It’s a nice fan:

I went back for dinner with Lloyd and Lauren. Afterward, I was really craving something sweet. It’s been a few weeks now since I started avoiding added sugar. I’ve done really well, and I think I’ve lost a little weight even. But last night, I decided to try a small sugary treat – a Dairy Queen Blizzard. I got Heath.

It was good! And, I think, worth the sugar. I don’t think this will be the beginning of a string of splurges, but it was nice to have something special.
It was a treat! I think a once-in-a-while Blizzard is totally fine, especially when you walk to get it.
The fan looks lovely, and Iām sure the other one does, too. Way to be productive, you two!
Glad to read there are still folks out there who can “drive a stick”. I haven’t needed to do that in decades. In case of emergency, I think I’ll just walk… š
