Ever since I ran out of cinnamon toothpaste in January, I think I can say without exaggeration that every time I’ve been in a store that sold toothpaste, I’ve looked for it. It’s become almost a reflex now to walk to the toothpaste isle and look. I haven’t found it. Yesterday I was in Target though, and saw a new flavor: orange-mango. Because I haven’t found the cinnamon, I’ve just kept using strawberry. I’m out of strawberry now, so I have to get some more toothpaste. I decided to try the orange-mango.
Last time, I described the strawberry as mostly flavorless. It was true. This orange-mango is the same. The flavor is mostly just a wisp of a smell again. The orange part is pleasant. The mango part is not. It is very plastic tasting.
I’ll probably keep using the orange-mango, but I’ll definitely continue searching for my beloved, my holy grail, my cinnamon.
Incidentally, one interesting side effect of blogging about buying new toothpaste is that I can see how often I get it. It looks like a normal tube lasts a little more than a month. A tube of “kids’ flavor” lasts a little less than a month. Fascinating.
Yesterday’s Lenten Chore: Clean the shower and tub.
*sigh* Why don’t you just scoop your toothbrush through a banana and be done with it? Mint, Brad, mint!! That’s what normal people use!!!
Yea, even the pregnant woman with aversions to mint is back to mint for the simple fact that I can’t brush with bubblegum anymore. Can you order Tom’s cinnamon in bluk on-line? If not, you’ll be creating a new category on toothpaste…
Sprinkle some cinnamon spice on it & call it a day …
More cat…less toothpaste.
