Well, I didn’t electrocute myself. Now all we’ll have to wait to see is if I burn my house down.
I installed several outlets and a switch yesterday. The most complicated ones were the GFCI outlets by the sink. They were wired in series, so I had to determine the path of the electricity. If I installed them incorrectly, the circuit breaker function wouldn’t work properly. But I tested them, and everything seems to be in order. Installing the light switch was MUCH easier. And I have to say, it is a LOT easier to work with electricity when you have a nice new breaker box and everything is properly labelled. I could keep the power off in the wires I was working on, yet keep the electricity to the lights on. Very nice!
Hooray, electricity!
