After the Credits

I saw Pirates of the Caribbean 3 yesterday. I really liked it. And of course I bought the soundtrack immediately upon leaving the theater. It’s good, as are the soundtracks to the first two movies.

My only complaint is something that’s been a problem for any movie for a couple of years now: I never know if there’s more movie to be watched after the closing credits are over. There is, in fact, a scene after the credits for this movie, so my sitting and waiting was not a waste of time. There is not, however any further movie after the credits of Spiderman 3, which I also sat and waited for. Time wasted.

Is there a way to tell? They should include it in the crazy fast-talking at the end of the trailers they show on TV: “This film is rated PG-13 by the Motion Picture Association of America; stay for the end of the credits.”

It’s a good movie. If you liked the first two, you’ll like this one. It’s darker, but tells a nice story. There are lots of pirate captains in this one. I think Barbossa is my favorite of them all. Happy watching! Arrr!

Arrr! ar? Arrr!

I really didn’t like the second one much at all. It had some neat effects and scenes, but I never understood why Depp’s character was doing anything and found that frustrating. Will I like this one?

Did you last three hours without the urge to pee? That is MY big question! Casey saw it yesterday with some girlfriends. She loved it, but found holding her pee so long put a damper on the movie. I find if there is lots of water in the movie, I have a hard time. I’m assuming there was LOTS of water in this one considering it’s a pirate movie and all.

Arrgh… the giant size rum is a might hard to keep in the galley, if you catch me meaning. I’ve had to walk the plank during many a movie.

By the way – Happy Birthday Church! Did all you Bradaptation fans wear your Pentecost red today?

I thought it was a game day.

Lloyd – speaking of “game day”, it’s a big LAX weekend here in Baltimore hon! Hopkins blue doesn’t exactly go with Pentecost red, but that’s not a problem. Hopkins and Duke advanced to the championship yesterday. I think that game is tomorrow. Can’t wait to watch.
My son Michael (wearing “game day” red today) just called from Gettysburg. His club soccer team won the championship in the Blue-Grey Cup – yeah!
I’m wearing red AND I’m seeing red as I continue to grade, write final tests, and work on an 8th grade memory book. No rest here (except when I escape to Bradaptation Land for some sanity!)
