It’s Been a Long Time

First I have to say, “Happy Birthday, Peggy!” Yay!

There was a new episode of “House” on TV last night. Wow. I forgot what it was like to watch a non-rerun. It’s like watching a little movie. A little movie on Tuesday night. I felt dangerous. hehe

Actually, I’ m a little sick to my stomach. There have been only reruns for the last couple months and I still have been watching TV. What’s wrong with me? It worries me a little.

But not enough to stop.

I love you, TV.

Pay no attention to the Christmas decoration on top of the TV.

WOW! 6:55 and I am the first to commment, I’m speechless.

    • Brad says:

Yay Brady! Your comment was stuck in moderation, so Lauren and Deanne didn’t see it. Now you’re on The List, and your comments will be instantly approved.

  2. Lauren says:

Holy cow that’s a huge t.v.! No wonder you watch it all the time. If you didn’t keep your eye on it, it might (insert funny action here. I’m too tired.)

  3. Deanne says:

I think we should remember Christ’s birth all year round. Nice going.

  4. Peggy says:

Yay for TV! Yay for House! Yay for a big picture of House!
Yay for updating your post! Yay for looking & feeling like you have socks stuffed in your sinuses!

  5. Karla says:

    Happy Birthday Peggy!!

Holy crap! That’s a ginormous TV!! I want to say something witty about your cleaning person, but I too have sinus’ that feel like there are socks stuffed in them (and a fever to boot), so it’ll have to ferment a while.

  6. Kim says:

    PEGGY!!! YIPPEE!!!
    Happy, happy, happy birthday!

Brad, are you compensating for something?

  7. Lloyd says:

Happy birthday Peggy, I hope all your sinuses are better.

It is also Cody Claridge’s birthday (Brad, Lauren, I and sundry others went to Concordia with Cody’s mom). Cody is in 8th grade and we were discussing the pros and cons of singing to him in math class today, but decided against it. I told Cody, “happy birthday, I hope you make it to your next one”. Josiah Hollibaugh (Karla know’s the Hollibaughs) then said, “That was the most morbid thing I’ve ever heard”. It was then discovered that none of the 8th graders had ever hear the birthday dirge before. “Well, if that’s the most morbid thing you’ve ever heard, you obviously haven’t heard the birthday dirge”.

I sang it for them. Josiah looked a little shaken and Ben Akins said, “That was the coolest thing I have ever heard”.

    Kids these days.

    • Brad says:

Ha! I sang the dirge for a kid earlier this year, and he was a little shaken too. But a couple weeks ago, another kid in that class had a birthday and they all begged me to sing.

Their favorite part is the end:
      “You’re one… year… closer… to… death!”

      Who’s Cody’s mom?

      • Beth says:

Kim Reins Claridge (I think you actually remember his Uncle Kevin Reins better from Seattle days, and did you know Kari Reins. Seems she has some kind of Baltimore connection, but I don’t remember…).

    • Karla says:

      How funny!!

We know the Hollibaughs very well. I know Josiah’s heard more disturbing things at home. Don’t let Karl being a pastor fool you. Get a few Lutheran Lemonades into him and he call tell you a tale or two. And I’m sure you’ll hear one that has Arron in it…

      Who’s Cody’s mom?

  8. Peggy says:

Thank you for the birthday wishes everyone! :)
