Peggy Update 3

I guess I don’t have to tell you that the food here is unbelievable. First there’s appetizers, then 1st plate, then 2nd plate, then salad & bread, then fresh fruit in every restaurant, then dessert if you want it. Attached is a picture of the fresh fruit cup. They peel & cut everything when you order it. Now I’m not a huge fruit fan, but I ate most of my fruit cup. The owner wanted to know why I didn’t finish. Joe’s cousin said, “She loves sweets.” The lady then brought me a little red bag, compliments of the restaurant for the seniorita. Italy—she’s a wonderful country. I opened it later & there were 3 cookies inside. Mmmmmm …

The is the fruit that Peggy ate.

These are the cookies that came in a bag, that followed the fruit that Peggy ate.

Venice was like nothing I’ve ever seen. Of course I haven’t seen much, barely having been outside of MD. We took a gondala ride—-that was cool. I tried to attach just a few pics. You could really get lost in Venice. The streets are crazy narrow & go every which way.

This is the canal that floated the cookies, that came in a bag, that followed the fruit that Peggy ate.

Lake Como was BEAUTIFUL!!!!! It’s in the Italian Alps …. where George Clooney has a villa. It’s about 15 minutes outside of Switzerland.

Pictures look bad. I guess I did a poor job of taking them. It was so nice. It was very windy roads & narrow. At some parts, it was a straight drop down heaven knows how far with only a little flimsy guard rail to protect you. If someone would have hit us, it would have been bye-bye. That part scared me. The grass over here is really green already & flowers are blooming. Very, very beautiful!!And the mountains so are much bigger than they appear. On one pic. I think you can see the sail boats in the water—these sail boats are HUGE! And if you look close, you can see towns at the bottom of the mountains—-for scale.

This is the lake that dwarfed the canal, that floated the cookies, that came in a bag, that followed the fruit that Peggy ate.

“Pictures look bad”?? Is she crazy? Holy cats, I wish I could go to Italy now – actually, just live there. I think I could get used to someone peeling and cutting my fruit while I looked at the beautiful country.

    When’s Peggy back?

She is supposed to be back tomorrow…I just can’t imagine dragging yourself in after traveling all day today.

      Loved the story, Brad.
