Yesterday evening was the Seward Garden Tour 2008. It was really cool to see something similar to the Home and Garden Tour that my neighborhood has sponsored for the last few years.
There were seven houses on the tour. We only got to a few of them, because it started to rain. The ones we saw were cool. One of the most interesting stops was a house that had a water feature running the whole length of the house. It was a series of small pools connected by waterfalls.
It started to storm, so we took a break for BLT’s. The storm started with heavy rain, but turned into hail.
But the best thing about the whole tour was what was written on the ticket. Hehe!
“Please leave your car in the street and walk into the gardens.” Haha!
You laugh, but you should have seen the Garden Massacre of 1996 – oh, the flattened plants; oh, the flattened people; oh, the wild cars….
oh, the uncertain use of semicolons…
That water feature looks like one of the things that Harold spends all day building…cool.
And, dnag it. My picture still isn’t showing up.
You could do some serious 4WD damage on that waterfall. YEEEHAAAW
For $7 you can get a beautiful bunch of fresh flowers you can pick yourself!
Testing my picture…
Dnag! Why isn’t this working for me!
Here’s what I have tried:
I opened an account at Gravatar.com.
I uploaded pictures.
I cleared my cache.
I assigned my pic to my email.
I posted.
It didn’t work.
So, I did it all again.
But this time when I posted, I did not include my URI.
What gives? Anyone?
YAY!!! It’s working!!! YAY!!!
LOVE the water fall thing … and love the cool storm!! How come Seward gets all the cool stuff!
BTW: Is that a restaurant you’re having a BLT at, or someone’s house?
Bacon mat!!!!

Brad—go ahead & delete all my testing … sorry about the mess … (but can you believe it … I uploaded a picture & I’m growing stuff!!!)
is that an christmas tree in the corner of the picture?
Somebody warn Brady about posting pictures of one’s self on the ‘net for potential predators, will ya’? At least, that’s what we warn our kiddos at school….
(So far, I think his is the only “real” one, eh? I mean, I’ve met Beth and she looks nothing like her T-shirt – er – picture. Then there’s Peggy, the terminally shy one…)
Kiwe’s pic is particularly lovely…but I trust she does not actually LOOK all multi-colored and ripply and flat and all…
–she who will continue to keep everyone guessing
Hey! My colorless silhouette has apparently lost a few pounds! Those 30 minute sessions on the treadmill in the morning seem to have already had an effect!
