Last night we went over to hang out at my parents’ house. We brought a bunch of appetizers and such to munch on, and had a great evening. We topped off the meal by tasting an array of cordials. Lloyd and Lauren were especially good at layering different kinds of liqueurs. Kahlua always seemed to sink to the bottom. Godiva chocolate liqueur floated to the top. The rest were in between.
After dinner, I had to sit in the hot tub for a while. My dad and mom have one right on their back porch! My nieces were also there. It was fun to spend some time with them and to soak up some heat. The girls left, and my dad and mom and I sat for a while longer. It was great. After all that food and hot-tubbing, I slept like a rock.
At first I saw the title, and then the table full of alcohol, and I thought you might spell relax D-R-U-N-K. I’m a little relieved that it was a hot toddy and a dip in the tub. Not that there’s anything wrong with the former…
Godiva liqueur is YUMMY! I used to put that on ice cream instead of chocolate sauce…
Your parents are wonderful hosts! They were the cutest little glasses in the whole wide world! I must comment that Beth was also talented with the layering – she made one that had a clear section in the middle of her glass!
Bet Beth knew something unique about the chemical properties of those liquids to get them to layer that way – way to go, middle school teacher gal! And what cute bathing beauties in that hot tub – oh, and your nieces are cute too, Brad. Just be careful, everyone: I always read of needless tragedies when alcohol and hot tubs are put together…and I don’t mean FILLING the tub with alcohol either (my, that would be wasteful, eh? Not to mention expensive!)
Well, I’d say, “here’s the answer to the new color for Lauren’s hand pump!”
I thought we asked you to cool it a little on having so much fun … like Kiwe said, you’re soaking up all the fun in the entire universe!!!! Aren’t you even a little worried that this could screw up the space-time continuum.
(honestly, who goes on vacation for a whole month–#$%&)
school teachers and people who work in schools…
btw-I spell relaxation: b.a.s.e.b.a.l.l.s.e.a.s.o.n.i.s.o.v.e.r.
but who goes away … vacationing, living it up every day & night … for a whole month? Only those whose life is one big fat adventure, that’s who!
Ha! It’s funny that you thinking living in Seward is ‘living it up’. Some city folk might find it a prison sentence.
You have a point Lauren. We Baltimore folks DO have an IKEA afterall! I passed by it just yesterday on my daughter’s shopping spree and was almost tempted to venture into the big tent sale, but it was too dnag hot.
I will take you to IKEA Lauren if you come put up my backsplash. BTW Brad – the race is on. We bought our backsplash tile TODAY! Tick-tock little buddy!
