I’ve been wiped out since coming back from my reunion. Monday I felt like I was spinning my wheels all day. Yesterday I was in a total fog. After sleeping through parts of our after-school meeting, I thought I would be rested enough to get something done once I got home. I was wrong.
It was nearly seven by the time I was walking in the door. I had some cereal and sat down in front of the TV with my chapel materials, thinking I could work on them a little. Instead, I started falling asleep again. At 8pm, I decided I would just go to bed. It took me a little while to get ready for bed and to fall asleep, so it was nearly nine by the time I was unconscious.
I slept soundly. I feel much better this morning. Good thing, too, because chapel isn’t done. I have two hours to get ready, go to school, and write chapel.
Ha! You beat us by 14 minutes. It was great when I woke up in the ‘middle of the night’ and the clock said 12:30!
I’m so glad to hear it’s not just me! I thought my third trimester sleepiness was hitting hard and early, but maybe there’s hope that I won’t be like this until December…
Yikes Karla – that word “trimester” gave me the willies (jibblies to you all!) I think teaching middle school is the perfect birth control!
I’m pretty sure we’re all suffering from PRST.
Post Reunion Sleep Trauma?
Chapel was very good … I think you underestimate your “Mozart” skills!
Well done on the last-minute-chapel, Brad. One suggestion though, next time you tie up a student…please leave them that way, thank you.
You tied up a student? How are you not in jail? (E-mail me the secret.)
Will it be in your classroom portfolio?
I was exhausted too and I stay up late all the time, but I usually sleep in longer than we did while there.
I am still thinking about all the good conversations and reconnecting we had. I have most of the pics posted on the site now. Putting the rest on there momentarily.
I talked on the phone to Tress today and she says hello to all.
AND one more thing..my hubby (Chris) says our class is like “St. Elmo’s Fire”.
For a few nanoseconds, Karla, my eyes saw italics around a small word in your posting. I leaped from “mytrimester sleepiness” to “What – Brad’s pregnant?! That’s the last time we let him go out of town on a long weekend again!!?” But, then, I’ve been no more energetic than any of my colleagues this week and I can’t use the reunion excuse for cloudy thinking.
