I found a postcard on the floor at school that had been sent to the teacher at our school who helps kids with their learning problems. I think she must’ve put it in the paper recycling or something.
I’m puzzled by the union of the text and the picture. How are they related? I don’t see what one has to do with the other. I showed it to another teacher, and what she suggested surprised me. Look at the picture and make your own observation first. Mouseover to see what she said.
Struggling because he’s going to school in Mexico and can’t read the banners on the gym wall?
Struggling because he doesn’t know Spanish for “I’m open!”
(Is that a basketball term?)
Yo no ayudo el chico, yo juego futbol!
That’s the best I’ve got – it’s been 30 years. I apologize for any errors!
I think it’s a vision problem. Struggling because everything is really, really blurry.
Struggling because the numbers on his jersey aren’t written in his native language?
Struggling because he doesn’t know the national anthem?
I do know some students struggling with American History; does that count, could they help my students too?
HA! That is hilarious!
But being the avid ‘back-of-the-head’ reader that I am…this poor fella is clearly thinking, ” Dang, all I wanted to do was borrow 32 bucks from the guys to travel and see my friend Bastiann.”
(sorry, I got nothing)
Struggling because he’s wondering about the World Religions written on the sheet below his postcard…?
(…and does anybody else in Bawlmer think this looks like someone’s oldest son from the back there? That is definitely a Michael S. head, IMHO…)
No, not my kid. I thought it looked like gorgeous Paul F. (son of another teacher.)He played basketball and he even looked hot from the back!
