Showering at School

Yesterday we had a long advisory period before school started. The Eighth Grade had been working on a surprise baby shower for Angie, one of our teachers who is pregnant. We told her we had to gather to talk about end-of-the year stuff. She bought it. I think she really was surprised. It was fun for her and fun for the kids. I think we should have a surprise party for every long advisory! The next surprise party can be for me. 🙂

There were many fun presents. There was also a sheet cake and lots and lots of those small, bulbous water bottles. I would say that the sugary cake in the morning was a bad idea, but the kids were kind of subdued during the first part of the day. The tiny water bottles were a big pain though. They kept popping up all over the place.

Even George Washington was in attendance.

George Washington should preside over ever party – it gives it a more formal party feeling.

If you want a party, you should start a rumor that you’re pregnant. 🙂

Stole my thought, Lauren….those rumors of male pregnancies usually get not only parties but major news coverage, I believe.

Is it possible that someone replaced your normal water bottles with water balloons?

More than once your titles have scared me a little…this one especially after seeing pictrues of your last homemade shower.

And you’re right…we should have a party for every extended advisory…hey wait, didn’t someone great say that once.
