Welcome to Brad's online memory archives.

Monthly

For several days now, I’ve been trying to remember to pay my bills. My mortgage payment comes out of the mid-month paycheck, so the last half of the month is when I’m supposed to send that payment in. I’m more than a little late.

As I was paying that and other bills last night, I noticed in my check ledger that the last time I paid bills was a month ago. And the time period between the previous check-writings was also a month. I have always sat down to pay bills twice a month: once with each pay check. Now I only get enough bills that I pay once a month? That seems strange.

I have converted many of my regular bills to automatic payments. Perhaps that’s what’s going on. Or maybe people have just stopped charging me for stuff. That would be cool. “Enjoy your free water, Brad!” (Actually, I don’t get free water. It was one of the bills I paid last night. One hundred bucks! Sheesh! What is it? Gold plated water?)

I don't know why I felt compelled to correct the crossing of the T. I'm the only one who ever sees my ledger. Unless I put a picture of it on the internet.

Bogman – is that short for Boogyman? You still owe him money?

Our mortgage bank changed their system and we didn’t get a bill last month, so we don’t pay again until December. How come it’s o.k. for them to skip around and not us?

Oh does that say BOGMAN? I thought it said BO 6man…perhaps the guy Brad pays to keep him smelling like nothing.

I think that last entry is for AFdT, the well known Opera Rapper. Is there something you’re not telling us about your taste in music?

      heh, heh

By the way, I totally love reading about your water bill, because I’m nosy like that.

I liked reading the water bill because ours is always comparatively microscopic. Comes from the same reservoir and all, but as County residents we pay every 90 days about 1/8 of that. Amazing system we have here in the County! Also, our property taxes are generally less than in the city…then there’s gasoline…and…

    –happy to be a Rosedalian
