The snow continued to fall and drift yesterday. Christmas church was canceled.
But my mom just recently got a Ford Gigantica. She calls it “The Beast”. It has four wheel drive, so Brent used it to pick us all up. My mom made a turkey dinner. Mmm… turkey…
After the meal, everyone fell asleep. I tried to watch Snow White because I hadn’t seen it since I was a kid. I only made it to the dwarfs discovering Snow White in their house, then I fell unconscious.
After we woke up and refreshed ourselves, Lloyd and Lauren came over for turkey sandwiches and a game of “Settlers of Catan”
Dwarfs? Not dwarves? Well, lets just continue that logic and say scarfs…. knifes… barfs – oh, wait – that’s right.
Merry turkey sandwiches, everyone! Too bad Brent has dibs on your mom’s Gigantica or we’d borrow it for our perilous trip to Missouri.
Merry Christmas everyone!! There should be a new saying “knee deep by day after Christmas Eve”, or maybe something better.
Ha! That picture of Tim makes me smile…and makes me want to take a nap…again.
Glad that ‘ol blizzard didn’t hamper the Royuks Christmas gathering! (I’m actually jealous of your blizzard #2)
Neither snow nor drift nor gloom of night shall keep a Mom from her appointed round…ing up of the family for Christmas dinner. Way to go, Mrs. R!
Now, quit hoggin’ all the potential Snow Days out there, will ya’!? It was 50 degrees and rainy/foggy here today – which is fine with me so long as we still have some freezing and/or snowing days in the bank somewhere around February.
[Falling asleep during Snow White, eh? Almost as bad as falling asleep during Cinderella … the night your future husband is planning to propose to you … not that I speak from experience or anything.]
