Welcome to Brad's online memory archives.

Easter Sunday

Even with the five hour lead-time, I’m probably not going to be able to post in time for Monday morning in Baltimore. So here’s what I did on Sunday morning:

I went to the sunrise service in our church’s cemetery. I was very excited to bring those little chemical hand warmer pouches. It was really chilly last year and we were all so cold, the hand warmers would be perfect for this year! …except that it was hot. Everyone ended up taking off their coats. Now I have twenty hand warmer pouches. Dang.

The cemetery is pretty. There are some headstones from more than a hundred years ago.

I also spent a little of my precious time yesterday walking in my garden. It’s looking very spring-like right now. I don’t know how long that’ll last.

Grape Hyacinths:
They smell good, but you have to get on your hands and knees and stick your face in them.

Peach Blossoms:
This tree is three feet tall and grows actual edible peaches, but last year they all fell off before they were ripe.

“…you have to get on your hands and knees to smell them”? I laughed because – as any good plant-lover would think – it would be murder to pick one and smell it, right?

I’m sorry you have too many handwarmers. Bring them here in winter and they will help you survive.

Happy Londoning! Eat something bizarre today!

Is turkish delight bizarre? Whether it’s bizarre or not, it certainly is delicious!

I like the grayish cemetary shot followed by the beautiful, colorful garden shots. Did you mean to be so metaphoric?

Looking forward to hearing about your 1st London adventure!

We made it to London without incident! Woo hoo! My computer says 3pm, but my watch says 8pm. Weird. I’ll write all about my first day here and set it to post bright and early tomorrow morning (Baltimore time).

I didn’t think I’d be able to connect to the internet. All wifi connections in London are locked. Is that some kind of law? It makes me want to unlock my wifi at home, just in case some international traveler needs a connection.
