Two Hundred

I’ve used the last coffee filter from the package in my classroom at school. There were two hundred filters. If each pot has four cups, and I’ve had two hundred pots, that’s eight hundred cups. Fifty gallons of coffee. Weird. I would never have thought I’d be a coffee drinker, much less one who’s had fifty gallons of coffee.

Here’s to the next fifty gallons!

Is the current consensus that coffee is good for you or bad for you?

… and a wrench? How strong is that coffee?

You’re not just a coffee drinker, you’re a no-add-ins coffee drinker, and that’s the most hardcore type. I just can’t imagine that tastes good.

I’m going with ‘coffee is good for you’, but I can say from experience that three cups by 8a.m. (daily) is not so great for you. shake shake

My coffee is almost always decaffeinated. Isn’t that even weirder? I drink it for the taste.

        Weirdo.

I like to keep a pot of hot coffee around just in case I need to throw it in someone’s face before making a daring get-away.

That’s exactly why I keep beer bottles around.

That’s what my wrench is for. Heh.

Actually, the wrench was for replacing one of the wheels on the piano dolly in my room, but the bolt I was going to loosen just spins. It’s riveted, not screwed in. Dang.

I also am amazed at how, not ever having been a coffee drinker, you started right out of the gate drinking it straight! Were you spitting nails with those first few pots?

And you got me curious about how much coffee I’ve consumed over the years & a rough estimate is 1000 gallons. That seems huge, but here’s a pic of 1000 gallons…it doesn’t seem like that much over a lifetime…..or does it???

Good googamooga – I sure wouldn’t be drinkin’ anything somebody swam in, regardless how many gallons that was! (and no, that doesn’t really seem like to much over a lifetime – you sure that’s a 1000 gallon tank?)

…and I seriously drank my last pre-Easter coffee on Shrove Tuesday. It’s working well so far – since I have the creeping crud again this spring and hot tea is not as phlegm-inducing as hot coffee with creamer (the way I need to drink it, that is).

Off to go cough up another lung. That’s seven this week alone. Holy apple butter and cottage cheese! (…see? I told you that didn’t pack a very strong wallop!)
