Keopuolani Park

The school year is winding down. Yesterday several classes spent the morning at Keopuolani Park. It’s in walking distance of school. It has a playground area that has some fun equipment, and it also has several ball fields. I supervised the soccer field area. It was beautiful. I wish my camera could take bigger pictures or something. The West Maui Mountains are gorgeous.

So beautiful!

So beautiful!

My only complaint is that somehow I ended up being covered in itchy bumps. Some bugs must have bitten me while I sat on the lawn. It feels like chigger bites, but they say there are no chiggers here.

Ha! It’s so pretty it seems unreal. I’m actually glad there are biting bugs there or else we’d all really have to be jealous. It’s nice to know that even paradise has a downside.

Such a beautiful back drop you have to your every day living! Gorgeous mountains indeed! With all this intoxicating beauty you’ve become accustomed to, you may have to check into a rehab center to help you adjust to ‘ordinary views’ once you return to MD. I hope you don’t get the shakes too badly.

And I wonder if you just happen to sit on a “bugs-that-bite-and-cause-terrible itching” hill or nest. Drats. That stinks. Maybe some Benadryl spray would help.

I wanted to make all sorts of soccer jokes, but I’m just to “end of the year” to get into the spirit of things.
