We started yesterday by going snorkeling with my co-worker Paul and his brother Jim. It was really fun. My mask kept fogging, but in spite of that, I found two cowrie shells. One was giant and beautiful, but it was alive, so I couldn’t keep it. The other was small and bleached to white, but it was intact, so I kept it. I also saw something blue on the bottom of the water and dove down to get it, only to find out it was a snorkel. Cool! I kept that too.
After snorkeling, we had shave ice, then went back to my apartment to rest. In the afternoon, we went to Iao Valley. I can’t believe I’ve never been there. It has a nice, short, paved path to walk. And the views are gorgeous. Even from the parking lot, it’s stunning:
I couldn’t resist another art shot. Here is me touching the tip of the Iao Needle:
Ha! You guys are living like kings! When Curt comes tonight you’ll be unstoppable!
I agree you are living like kings! Who gets to. Snorkel and hike in the same day? You do!
We were at that very place last year on our tour of Hawaii!!!! Love Your Picture, too….. (^_^)
Now when you say one was alive, do you mean there was a critter in it? Did it start to come out?
And HA! You’ve been a giant twice now in the last few weeks!
Gracefully bowing to your Highnesses….
Brad,
To keep your mask from fogging up, just put a drop of shampoo or toothpaste into your mask, rinse it out, and then put it on. It won’t fog up. I leave today for the mainland. I will miss you at Emmanuel. Have a great time with your friends.
