Floor Progress

Now that I’m working, I haven’t been able to visit my house as often. The floors are coming along nicely. The tile has all been re-grouted. The hardwood floors have been refinished. Some time this week, the carpet will go in upstairs. After that, there are a few last things. Then I guess they’ll put all my stuff back into my house and I’ll be able to move back in. Time is ticking. The last day of my lease in my apartment is October 6. If my house isn’t ready for me by then, I’ll be homeless. (Not really. The insurance company would probably pay for a hotel stay.)

Check out my pretty hardwood floors.

I have quarter round! I never had that before.

It's a little darker than my previous stain.

Yesterday was a third Sunday. HERE is the message I gave.

Great sermon. Lots to chew on. I think I’ll re-read it later today.

Your floors look fantastic! How interesting that the stain on them looks so much better than the stain on us. 🙂 I hope they finish soon.

Those. Floors. Are. Amazing! [Won’t you feel just a little bad(ly?) covering them with furniture, feet, etc.? ]

Reading your message reminded me of something we heard in our Bible class Sunday – we are starting a review of Islam. Allah apparently is not given credit at all for being the god of love as we know God to be. He is merely obeyed, the rules followed so one can be a better Muslim, etc. We Christians should be more than ecstatic that we worship a loving God who wants us to spend eternity with Him. I fear we too often take that (and so much more!) for granted. Thanks for the reminder…

    Beautiful house!

Oooo….that floor looks FANTASTIC!! You must be so excited….I think they’re definately going to be finished so you can move in in a few weeks. Move into what will feel like a brand new house…..without any junk!!!! Just excellent!

Now off to read the sermon!
