I usually have a time each year when my lips get really chapped and I need to use some sort of lip balm. Usually it’s the beginning of January. For some reason, it happened to me yesterday. By the time I was done with work, my lips felt windburned. I stopped at the grocery store to get some of my favorite lip balm.
I hope my lips will stop needing balm quickly. I don’t like being balm-dependent. Usually, my time of dry lips only lasts a week or two, then I can go back to balmless living.
I, too, much prefer blameless living, leaving the guilt to ………..what?………….oh……….never mind then.
(The wind and cold the other day did it to me as well as I stood outdoors during after school duty. Must have been particularly low humidity, too. Hang in there – after the rains of yesterday and today I can’t imagine there’ll be much need for balm today…or blame, for that matter…)
Balmless living? How is that even possible? I guess you’ve never had two scabs living permanently on your bottom lip, or a permanent crack in the middle that sometimes bled – great for a flute player. I didn’t realize balm would fix that until I was twenty-four.
The lemony-ness is intriguing. Is there also the awful menthol thing going on?
No menthol. I like this particular balm because it doesn’t feel waxy.
Yay for a surge of moisture! Says so on the box.
I have a little problem with buying chapsticks….I am constantly trying new ones because they look so inviting. But I usually go back to Nivea. It’s similar to the one you use. The only thing I find with this brand is it seems to wear off quickly so I have to reapply kind of often. Unless my lips are addicted to it. Need more….need more…
