Birthday Kheer

Yesterday I did the message at church again. HERE it is. It was the usual Sunday for acknowledging birthdays, but even more exciting, it was Elizabeth’s birthday. She was 2. She is a super cute little girl whose family is from India. I had to be at work by noon, but I stayed for some birthday cake anyway. It was delicious.

Even more delicious was a dessert that Elizabeth’s parents made. It was called kheer. It was wheat noodles in milk with rasins and cashews. It tasted something like rice pudding. I really liked it.

I forgot to take a picture of it, so instead, here’s a picture of Gus from when I got home.

I'm ready for my closeup, Mr. DeMille.

Ho, that face has “Where the heck have YOU been?!” written all over it, don’t ya’ think?

    Off to read your message…

Pithy truth you included this week: without faith there can be no doubt. Good point! It reminds me of how there can be no betrayal if there is not at least a friendship between the one betraying and the one being betrayed. Wise words…

Rats. My computer is having trouble opening the message, so I’ll have to read it later.

The kheer sounds fascinating! I have actually never eaten rice puddng, but I love rice with sugar on it. Would just sugared noodles be as good? (Don’t judge me with your judgey face, Gus.)

Great message!! And kudos to you for tackling that subject!

And great picture of Gus…..although he doesn’t look real to me….he looks more like a puppet.

Gus’s frown kinda says to me, “I wanted to taste the “kheer”, too”…and you didn’t bring any home to me???”

Blessings & <3 From Aunt Bev In Nebraska…..:-)
