I planted some cucumber seeds this spring. They have grown into some fine cucumber vines. I planted the seeds inside the stone circle in my back yard. I thought I would be able to contain the vines within the circle. I think it will be hard. They grow fast!
I’ve been having a little trouble harvesting the cucumbers. I look for them and see none, then go back a couple of days later and see cucumbers that have grown almost too big to eat. So far they’ve been really tasty. Even the big ones still taste pretty good. I’m going to try to be more vigilant though. Small cucumbers can be so tasty-sweet.
Ha! Now I have visions of you bashing a cucumber against a rock so you can eat it. Nice clip!
We should talk – we picked up a bag of spices to make refrigerator bread and butter pickles while we were away. You have cukes; we have a bag of “stuff”. Have your guy call my guy or something…….
First of all, Happy Anniversary Bradaptation! Did you forget? I never forget because it’s also my birthday.
Second, I love cucumbers and they would make a wonderful birthday present 🙂
Dang it! As I was looking at the date, it was tickling the back of my mind that it was a significant day.
Happy Birthday! I hope it’s a cucumberific day!
Wow! That’s quite a harvest! Way to go!
I remember how you used to eat a cucumber at school. The 1st time I saw it, it made me laugh. But of course it was genius!
What a “Bountiful” First Harvest!!! And, Yes, They grow FAST!! I love the little ones about 4 inches long and 1 inch around….MMMMmmmmmmm!!! Blessings On Your Week!!! <3 Always, Aunt Bev 🙂
P.S. Happy Birthday From Nebraska, Michele 🙂 ! ! !
