Hallelujah

Yesterday in church we sang the Hallelujah Chorus. Since it’s so well known, we only practiced it once on Thursday during choir practice. I have always sung the bass part, but I’m singing tenor in this choir. I was concentrating like crazy trying to sing the right notes. Fortunately, the guy I was standing next to knew the part well and was belting it out.

We sang it once before church.

After church, I worked at school. I had a TON of stuff to do because of being sick. I didn’t finish it all, but I did put a huge dent in it. I only hope I can chip away at the rest of it during the week.

One thing I did get done was cleaning off the counter top behind my desk. It was a complete wreck. I wish I would have taken a “before” picture. All I have is the “after”:

I'm still not quite sure what to do with the coffee maker.

That is a beautiful ‘after’ shot! I am quite impressed – and rather envious of your coffeepot. I think the only thing to do with it is put a spotlight on it. (And maybe have the Hallelujah chorus play every time you pour a cup.)

There is a big-time difference in range of notes if you’re going from bass to tenor. Way to belt out the high ones, Brad!

At St. John they occasionally invite people who are not in choir to come up to the balcony and join in singing well known pieces like that.
