Happy Fathers Day! Yay!
Yesterday morning we slept late, then we went on a trip down memory lane.
We stopped at our old church and school first. There were some men doing garden work outside. We chatted with them for a while. Then we did a quick walk around the property. We didn’t walk around inside because we’re going to church there this morning.
We also stopped by our old house. The current owners weren’t home, so we just walked around it. It was cool to see, but I didn’t want to poke around too much since we didn’t have permission.
We spent the rest of the day hanging out at Mark and Debbie’s house. I love the projects they have around their house. They are so fearless. They were curious about chickens, so they got chickens. Now they have fresh eggs. So cool.
The thing I’m most envious about is their secret room. Here’s the door:
Here it is open:
Mark put the space in to accommodate a built-in aquarium.
It reawakened a desire in me to have a secret space in my house. Could that be a summer project? Hmmm…
Secret space! Secret space! Yes! I am super-envious of that secret room.
That church is GIGANTIC. Holy (literally) moly. I hope you get a photo of the inside. Isn’t it fun/weird to walk around places from your childhood and imagine your little selves doing what you used to do? I’m glad you’re getting to check it all out. 🙂
AWESOME!!!! DOUBLE AWESOME!!!! What Great Memories For You…..& Beth……(& Me, Too) !!!! <3 Aunt Bev 🙂
I too like their formerly secret room.
