Our church service was outside yesterday. It was beautiful weather for it. We could sit in chairs or we could bring blankets. I brought a blanket and laid on the ground. When else can you recline during a church service? It was really nice.

After church we had a picnic. There were all kinds of delicious potluck items. I especially enjoyed the deviled eggs. I really like deviled eggs, but never make them. I guess it’s because I would only want maybe three halves at the most, and it seems like that’s a lot of trouble for so few bites.
I worked in my room for a while, but was overcome by fatigue in the afternoon.
What a gorgeous day. Were you at a park or is that your church property? Either way, those are some beautifully established trees.
I am a fan of the outdoor church service. There’s just something about being in nature that makes it extra-special. We had one at VBS (crazy hot, but still good) and one at a ministry retreat. Very nice indeed.

It’s usually held in conjunction with the Last Day of School.
We have a hayrack for our altar area. Lovely plants adorn it and a large wooden cross! We have it in the “park area” between the two parsonages. South of the school. AWESOME Feeling being Outside With God!!! 🙂
