At my cousin Julian’s birthday party, we had said we needed to get together again sometime. It took us a while, but last night we finally did it. He and his family came over to my house for dinner.
Originally, I had said we could cook some hot dogs and marshmallows in my fire pit. Thunderstorms were forecast for the afternoon, so it was looking like it would be grilled cheese for dinner. But then something wonderful happened: right before they arrived, the rain stopped completely. We could have a fire after all! Woo hoo! The kids loved it. They couldn’t keep from getting ashes on their hot dogs, but that’s just extra carbon, right?
It was a great time. We got to chat and play and hang out. We said we’d definitely do it again some time.
Perfect! What a brilliant idea! You got to get together with family and you also gave those kids a fantastic memory. Good thinking, Brad. 🙂
By the way, I couldn’t comment yesterday because our websites were broken. (I was getting a ‘fatal error’ message.) The tech guy fixed it when he got home.
Excellent! I’m jealous but thankful you got together!
