I enjoy shopping, but hardly ever have things to buy any more. It’s one of the downsides to having lived somewhere for a while – I already have everything I need.
Yesterday, I had three things to buy. Three!
I needed cloth napkins for an upcoming Life Skills lesson. Bed, Bath, and Beyond had Christmas napkins on clearance. Woo hoo!
I also wanted to find a frame. The sword I got came with a certificate of authenticity. On the back of the certificate is the map from The Hobbit. I decided I would frame it and hang it next to the sword. That way, I will always know where the certificate is. I wanted the frame to match the plaque the sword hangs on. The frame also had to be a weird size: 8.5 by 11. It took some looking, but I found one:
The last thing on my list was new shrimp for my aquarium. I had plenty of day left, so I took some time looking at all the tanks in the aquarium store. I was excited to see some Indian glass fish. Many stores have them, but they’ve been painted. The fish are removed from water and actually painted with paint. I would never buy those because they’re stressed and likely to get sick. The ones I saw yesterday were unpainted. Awesome! I got eight of them. I also got my shrimp.
Who paints fish? Crazy.
You got a steal of a deal on those napkins.
I agree with Deborah. Fish-painters are crazy.
So, Gandalf was into hobo stamps?
