I went to the computer room after school yesterday because I had assigned the kids to log in to their online grade book accounts. I like to give them the opportunity to do it at school if they want.
When I got to the computer room, some of the kids from the last class of the day were there playing games. One of them was playing the Oregon trail game. Ha! I don’t remember playing this game, but I do remember text-based games. It seems like the one I played was more of a sword-carrying dungeon-exploring monster-slaying type of game.
Ha! Never go on the Oregon Trail with me. You will get sick and die. That’s how every game ever went. “Lloyd got sick and died…..”
Good for that kid. 🙂
Dysentery will get you every time.
Great game!
So that game is still out there to be played? Hmmm…Now I want to find an on-line “Where in the World is Carmen San Diego?”, since our current laptop can’t accept the floppy discs we have for it from back in the day. [I learned so much about the world from that game…most of which has likely changed since then anyway.]
