Welcome to Brad's online memory archives.

Well Begun

My first day in Seward was a bit of a blur… not much sleep because of driving straight through from Baltimore.

We unloaded the truck, then had lunch at Runza. Mmm… Runza…

After that, Denis and I crashed in Lloyd and Lauren’s living room. We would wake up every once in a while, groggily acknowledge one another, then go back to sleep. Heh.

For dinner, we went to Bottle Rocket Brewery here in Seward. It was great! Good brats, good beer.

Afterward, a little fireworks to begin the Fourth of July celebration.

The sparklers look like Harry Potter wands to me.

I’d like to see you apparate. Wait – you’ll basically be doing that when you fly to Maui.

SO sorry I may have woken you yesterday but I wanted you to know Gus was eating and had a human visit yesterday. Will check on him again after dinner this evening. If he could speak, he might say, “Where’s my Brad? Denis?? all the FURNITURE forcyringoutloud!?” I’m sure he’ll rebound in time. Felines and change don’t always go well together….

We’ve been lifting you in prayer since you left and will continue to do so throughout your travels and resettlement. May both your cube (why am I thinking of the Borg right now?) and your truck arrive swiftly with everything in good shape. May you find the perfect living unit with reasonable rent in short order. May your house back here sell for at least fair market value. (What other prayers should we be offering??)

Thank you for the prayers! Those are all spot on 🙂

Thank you also for looking after Gus. I’m sure he appreciates the love you’re showing him
