Container Gardening

Yesterday was a day off. I ran a few errands, got my hair cut, and was back home by mid-afternoon. One of the things I got was seeds. I got cucumber seeds. I’ve gotten several plants in the last few weeks, but haven’t done anything with them. The cucumber seeds were the tipping point. I finally potted some things and arranged them on the lanai.

The cucumber seeds are in the corner.

The cucumber seeds are in the corner.

I am very curious about the cucumbers. The garden centers around here call them “part sun” plants. I think that’s because the sun is so intense here. I also think that means my lanai will have enough sunlight even though it’s not full sun.

I’m also curious about my ti plant. Will the leaves stay their beautiful dark color in part sun? Will the sucker I pulled off and planted in a second pot survive?

Well, you’re getting your money’s worth from that ti plant if you get two, that’s for sure. I’m glad those pots are fulfilling their purpose!

    I see your truck!

Hehe… that’s not my truck. It’s funny you should mention it though. Maui is FULL of Toyota Tacomas. It’s really weird. They are super popular here. And white is a popular color. But unlike my truck, most of the Tacomas here have big wheels and raised suspension.
