Celebrating Morning and Night

Happy 2018, everyone!

I started yesterday with a great worship service. The congregation sings so vigorously, and the organ sounds so majestic. And yesterday, the organ was played by a twelve-year-old. He played the whole service. It was amazing!

This was just after the service.

At the end of the day, I was at Harold and Beth’s house for their annual fondue party. It was really fun. I had an easier time staying up this year. Maybe it’s because Maui is an earlier time zone. Maybe it’s because I drank two cups of very strong coffee. Whatever the case, it was a very Happy New Year celebration.

This was toward the end of the party. The food was almost gone.

Happy New Year! When I first read this I was very confused. “Why were you at church?” I for got that it was Sunday and I was at the nursing home. I’m sorry to have missed that kid organist – he is amazing. Stupid kids with stupid talent….
