Welcome to Brad's online memory archives.

Baltimore Bound

Beware the Ides of March!

Our spring break is starting next week. I say “starting” because it lasts for two weeks. Two weeks! I think I might rather have the second week tacked on to summer vacation. It will be a welcome break though.

I have gotten a ticket to go to Baltimore. My house hasn’t sold yet, and it’s going to be spring soon. I need to clean my garden and my pond so potential buyers can see them in their full beauty.

I will leave a week from today, and come back two weeks from today. I’ll be able to attend Maudy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter services here. That’ll also give me some time to recover from the jet lag of a six hour time difference. Whew!

Will the kids even remember anything after two weeks?

Good grief – that is an enormous break! I thought our local schools never had school.

I’m glad it gives you the opportunity to beautify your old house, though. I also hope you get enough rest to kick that cold to the curb.

We are SO excited to see you again! Expect a band, balloons, confetti….well, ok, maybe we’ll treat you to a meal somewhere at least. 😉

Safe travels! (I seem to remember the flight out there was broken into two separate days with layover in California. Will you do likewise to get back here?)

Yes. I have layovers both ways. Dallas on the way there, and Denver on the way back. But the layovers are only an hour or two long. Every flight I’ve taken from Maui leaves in the evening. That way, we arrive at a normal time of day on the mainland, and not in the middle of the night.
