The Smell of Clean (not)

The washer and dryer in my apartment are relatively new. It’s nice to have such good machines do do my laundry.

There is one problem though – my washer has a strong smell of mildew. It had gone away over time because I always leave the door open when I’m not using it. I forgot to leave that instruction for my house-sitters, though, so the smell is back.

I’ve washed several loads of laundry. I’ve even done an empty cycle and included a lot of bleach. It hasn’t really helped. I’ll leave the door open for now. Hopefully as it dries out, the machine will smell better.

An open washer door means a closed bathroom door.

Yes. Our washing machine has the same problem. I need to scrub that rubber ring around the inside door sometime. Ugh. Sooooo annoying.

Ya, what’s up with the “cleaning machine” stinking?? Mine does that too some?? I’ve used a machine cleaner before but haven’t done that in a while, had to get it at Lowes and don’t go there much. Door open is free. ha
