The annual fund-raiser rummage sale for the band was yesterday. Andrea is still in Oahu, so one of the parents stepped up to organize it. She did a great job.
I helped haul some tables from other churches before it started, then back again after it was over. I also drove a rental moving truck so we could take the leftovers away at the end. It was a long day. By the time I was done, it was 3:30. Whew! But I got a lot of exercise carrying things – I’ve been saying I need more exercise…
I tried to resist getting anything, but right at the end, we told whoever was there to just take stuff so that we wouldn’t have to haul it.
I took a small Christmas tree that has a USB plug, and an old-looking clock. I say “old-looking” because the case and face look old, and may even be kind of old, but the motor running the clock hands is modern.
Deborah would say that you had a very appropriate start to National Lutheran Schools Week with an act of service. That was good of you to sacrifice your Saturday for the band. Nicely done!
