Window Shopping on Paper

I got a Hammacher Schlemmer catalog in the mail. It’s like the Sky Mall catalog. It’s filled with wondrous and amazing products that cost a million dollars.

There was something that caught my eye. A cassette to computer recorder! Amazing! For the longest time, I still had a briefcase-sized container that had old cassettes in it. Did I keep that? I should look through my boxes to see if I still have them…

“It faithfully transfers a cassette to a digital audio file and lets you pause mid-recording to skip or select certain songs, turn the tape over, or swap out the cassette to make compilation recordings.” MIXED TAPE!!! The children of today have no idea how much love and dedication it took to make someone a physical ‘playlist’ like that. Dang. That is a cool thing.

That is something I could use. I have a recording of my grandparents on cassette. It would be nice to make that digital. I may have to look into this.
