Question Board

My coworker Jordynn puts question on a whiteboard by the playground at school. It’s fun to see her questions, and even more fun to see all the answers.

I would have a hard time naming my favorite song. Joy to the World? What Child is This? O Come, All Ye Faithful? Angels We Have Heard on High? O Little Town of Bethlehem? Hark! The Herald Angels Sing? I’m going to stop typing favorite Christmas songs. I could do this forever…

Hmm…. the easier question to ask might be “Which is your least favorite?” If we’re not talking about hymns, it’s the 12 Days of Christmas. Oy. That song goes on and on and yet people think it’s the 12 days leading up to Christmas.

The rest of the songs? Pretty great. 🙂

I agree with Lauren that it’s easier to come up with my least favorite. Mine are also not hymns. It’s any Christmas song with “rock” or “rockin'”.

“Santa Baby” makes me want to jab dull pencils into my ear drums.

Too many great hymns to pick a favorite.

Least favorite? Feliz Navidad. I can’t STAND it.

    This is a low-tech Jamboard – I love this!

Favorite: as a born and reared Balti-moron, I must list “Crabs for Christmas” (if you’ve not heard it but know from steamed crabs and Bawlmer, Hon, you need to click this URL: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=izVW1EwEd4A

(a more reverent response, though, would be “Before the marvel of this Night” – anything Schalk did moves me.)

Least favorite? Hmmm…I am tiring of the repeated playing of “I Want a Hippopotamus…” this year, but most Christmas music gets a thumbs up from me, even in July.
