There are some trees blooming near my house. I’m so excited to see them, because it reminds me of Baltimore, where so many trees bloomed in the spring. (Though I don’t know that I would call February spring…)
The flowers look apple tree flowers, or maybe some kind of ornamental pear? I got up-close-and-personal with them so I could make a better assessment of what kind of tree they are.
The flowers definitely look like apple tree flowers. They have scent. I’m not sure apple tree flowers smell. That made me think this might be a kind of pear tree, because I remember the ornamental pears in Baltimore had a similar fragrance. I’ll have to ask around…
Wow! That is such an unusual sight for this time of year…. at least around these parts. How cool to have springtime somewhere!
