Victual Vessel

I’ve been keeping Bruno’s food bad right next to his bowl, which has been very convenient. It’s also trained Bruno to come running when he hears the crinkly noise of the bag.

But this last bag I had didn’t zip-seal anymore because the zip thingy separated from the bag. I was worried the food was going stale because of exposure to air, so I decided to get a food container of some kind. I decided on a giant jar:

The lid is a little stiff to get off right now, but that’s ok. I’d rather have the air-tight seal work too well than to have it not work well enough.

What a well-behaved cat you have that he won’t try to get into that and knock it over. Bruno is the best. Also, that is the most attractive cat-feeding setup I’ve ever seen!

We’ve been keeping dry kibble for felines and canines in tall jars on the kitchen counter for a while now and are always happy with the result…until one of us forgets to return the lid after feeding (I won’t say who because he isn’t here to defend himself right now) and now the kibble has gotten stale anyway. So good luck with this – the jar is lovely, at least.

Where did you find that magical jar, may I ask? We could use something like that for dog food.
