When I get home in the evening, I really don’t feel like doing much. I don’t have a lot of time anyway, since I go to bed so early. That means house stuff doesn’t get done except on weekends. Sometimes I do a little bit in the morning.
This morning I washed some un-dishwasher-able things that have been sitting in or near the sink for a while. It was surprisingly easy to do. Maybe if I got up a half hour earlier, I could do even more house chores! (I’m kidding. I don’t think I should get up any earlier than I do.)
You are living my life, particularly the “I don’t think I should get up any earlier…” part. Yet, I can’t honestly say all that much housework gets done on the weekends either, so we tend to live in continual clutter/need to clean. Ah, the life of the Lutheran teacher! (…or probably any teacher for that matter)
No, you should NOT get up any earlier than you do. That’s insanity.
I was watching a video about ‘secrets to organizing’ (it came up after a different video – I wasn’t searching for it), and the lady said something that resonated. She thinks of herself as two people: her present self and her future self. Her present self is best friends with her future self, and loves making life easier for her. So, if she sees a little job that needs doing, she does it for her friend. It reminded me of ‘Thanks, Brad from the Past!’ and I laughed. So good job, Brad from the Past. 🙂
