I was kind of worn out from the lock-in Friday night, so yesterday I took it easy. I went on a few errands, but otherwise stayed home. I have recently discovered that there are two whole campaigns in my Xbox game Oblivion that I’ve completely missed. There was another disc! I didn’t notice it, so I didn’t install it. Yesterday, I began my foray into the Shivering Isles. It was fun to be in a completely unfamiliar part of the game. I still am so powerful that I don’t really fear death, but at least gameplay is not boring.
And then it happened: the batteries in the wireless controller started going out. Should I be proud of playing so much I’ve drained some batteries, or should I be ashamed? It has been over seven months. That’s pretty good, I’d say.
I have hours and hours of gameplay ahead of me as I explore the Shivering Isles. And I haven’t even begun to find out who the Knights of the Nine are.
Seven months, two bateries – that’s remarkable! In our house, we went through 78 AA batteries (thank you Brad) in just over 11 months…
I congratulate you on your energy-draining capabilities.
(Restrain… from…. recommending… rechargeable… batteries.)
Woo hoo for discovering something you didn’t know you had … it’s like finding money in a pocket … Yay!
Have fun exploring the “Shivering Isles” … let us know if they do indeed make you shiver … As for me, I’d rather relax on the Isles of Bora Bora!
🙂
Nobody’s mentioned the fames Knights of Nee/Nie/however that should be spelled in all this yet, I notice…no Monty Python af-“fish”-ianados out there in Bradaptationland?
