Milk Walk

I’m out of food at my house. Well, almost out of food. I have a few scraps of things here and there. But I didn’t want to stop at the grocery store on my way home from work last night. I just wanted to get home and be done.

Then I ran out of milk.

I decided I wouldn’t go back out and drive to the store. I would go out and walk to the ABC convenience store right next to my condo complex and buy a jug of milk and walk back.

I went out right at sunset and got home after dark. It was a pleasant walk. I met other walkers along the way. I should walk more.

My new phone takes way better pictures in the dark than my old one did.

That is a very idyllic scene, and you are right about the camera quality. Holy cow!

I admire your walking to get the milk. Last week I decided to walk to work one day a week, then this week got icy. We’ll see if that goal lasts two weeks. 🙂

You probably walked off a couple of pieces of candy! “See” how that works. Good for you to walk to the store! I’m sure it’s safer there than in Baltimore too. Walk on!

Toffee Temptation

One of my students brought me some candy. I shared it with the other students, but there was still a lot left over. Now it sits on my desk and taunts me.

I never just eat one piece. I always eat four or five. Ugh. So bad for me! Hopefully they’ll be gone soon. At the rate I’m going, they will be. Heh

Dry Palms

I didn’t do anything but work in my classroom yesterday, so here’s a picture of something I didn’t know existed until I saw it on Saturday:

Hand antiperspirant? I was amazed! But I was also glad for people who have sweaty palms. It must be great to have a product that can help them with their thing.

Small Start

I’ve been thinking about painting my living room. Lauren has been inspiring me with posts about painting her bathroom, so yesterday I decided to do some small thing to get started.

I decided I would take the hooks out of the wall. When I moved in, there were some giant hooks screwed into the wall. I think they were for oars.

They came out pretty easily, but I couldn’t find my patching compound, so that’s as far as I got.

Dispenser Difference

Ever since I re-did the bathrooms, I’ve been trying to put finishing touches on them.

Finding soap dispensers has taken a surprisingly long time. Over Christmas break, I looked in several stores on the mainland, but none had any dispensers I liked. I already had something from Target in the full-bathroom, so I wondered if I could find one like it online.

I didn’t, but I did find one that had the same color and finish, but was a different shape and design. I decided to get it.

The new one is on the left.

I like them. They’re the same, but different. It seems fancy 🙂
