I went to Lincoln with my dad yesterday. We stopped for a loose meat sandwich at Tastee In & Out. My dad highly recommended them. I always like whatever food my dad likes, so I was interested in trying it. It was delicious! It was a delightful mash of hamburger, onions, and grease. Very tasty! Or should I say “tastee”? Ha!
I didn’t take a picture of it, so instead, here’s a picture of Ralph and Wally sitting in my suitcase.

Aww…
I first heard the phrase ‘loose meat’ on Rosanne, and truthfully – those are jibblie words to me. I’m glad they were delicious, though.
Awwww…..Wally and Ralph, you can’t go back to Baltimore with Brad. I need you here for all the snuggles. 🙂
Whew – so glad no cats appear to have been harmed in the making of the loose meat sandwiches. I was concerned after reading your title.
Ralph and Wally look precious; bet they are quite the snugglers.
Don’t forget, Brad: come mid-September, you two can be owned by an 8-week-old just weaned dark grey furred little boy kitty. The boys are still looking for good families, so….just sayin’!
I’ve never heard of a loose meat sandwich. So basically it’s like a hamburger just not formed in a patty??? I’ll have to look into how to make these. I’ve always hated touching raw ground beef. But I’m with Lauren…I’m not sure I like the name ‘loose meat’. Maybe I’ll call mine uncontrained burgers.
And what cuties those kittens are!! That Wally looks so comfortably nestled in your suitcase…I hope you sang him a cat lullaby so he could take a little nap.
