Welcome to Brad's online memory archives.

Finally

Yesterday we had an organizational meeting at school for the YouthQuake we’re taking 20 Middle School kids to next weekend. It looks like it’s going to be a lot of fun. It’s a weekend gathering here in Baltimore. We’ll stay Friday and Saturday nights. The event involves workshops, large group worship, and small group Bible study. I’m really looking forward to it.

Since I was at school already, I stayed afterward to work. I finally got two important things done: I got some grading done, and I got my 2008 calendars up. I’ve had a lot of trouble focusing since I’ve gotten back. I’m currently trying to determine if it’s just difficulty getting back into the swing of things, or if the study medicine is doing this to me. I think I should have a good idea by Thursday when I meet with the doctor again.

In the meantime, I’ll have to work with no distractions:

Blank desk, blank board, blank floor. Focus, Brad, focus!

Here’s my super-cool skeleton calendar that I found while shopping with Peggy.

Something important happened in bone science on January 12, but I don\'t remember what it said.

Yay for Youthquake! Yay for grading! Yay for creepy skeletons (mwahhhhhh)! (Is that a picture of the devil next to the calendar?)

I guess it sort of does look like a devil. It is part of my Permanent Collection. When kids give me their artwork, I add it to the Collection. This one was done by John P. a few years ago.

I think being focused is overrated. Don’t you find that you enjoy life much more if you’re not really thinking about it? I do. 🙂

I always tell my students that there’s nothing more important than staying… Look! A bunny!

Note to self: read all comments before posting.

I’m with Lauren. I think I’ll make that one of my New Year’s resolutions. Actually, now that I think about it, I’m already not focused.. So I don’t have to resolve!

  4. Brad

I think I disagree with you Lauren and Deanne. If I don’t have any focus, I’ll never…

    Oh, look! A blinking light!

    • Deanne

      🙂

What is that weird little duster thing hanging by your calendar? Is it really a duster? Who dusts their classroom? Weird.

    • Peggy

hehe … that weird little duster thing is part of a covert operation here at our school … you will find one in every classroom & office in the MS … seriously.

    • Deanne

I was thinking the SAME THING! I theorized that it was for cleaning the eraser rest…
